I drafted the first storyboard, with the initial idea for a plot involving a hunt for treasure in a forest.
I rewrote the middle section.
Forest are a classic adventure location. The search for treasure is manageable to tell in 40 seconds. There's a clear protagonist, antagonist and goal. There won't be speech but sound will emphasise actions. To improve upon it, if the film was longer, I'd have more complicated obstacles confronting the protagonist.
Finally, I coloured the storyboard, and included the antagonist in stop-motion form, which works well. The script describes the plot in more detail.
What Went Well
- Coloured storyboard brings story to life
- Clear coloured-coded camera, action, sound instructions
Improvements
- Story may extend 40-seconds
- Too many walk-cycles in story?
Coming Week
- Practice animating a background
