To make the puppet, I reshaped wire, mapping the head, body and limbs. Afterwards, bones were made by carving and supergluing foam to the wire. Putty was used for the joints. Cotton filled-out between the bones and allowed the plasticine to stick.
The plasticine and details were added.
Its hips are wider than its body, and hands/feet stumpy to show the Savage's regression. Changing from the plan, the antagonist will have no arm instead of half an arm, due to the nature of the plasticine.
It was added to a stand, placed on a bent metal bar, the connecting metal tubes were sanded down, and a hole was drilled into the wooden base.
What Went Well
- Marbled skin looks like fur (created by not fully mixing the plasticine)
- Plasticine details - wild expression, dirty clothing, textured skin
Improvements
- Lacks a neck - less head movement
- More fragile/less flexible than expected
Coming Week
- Practice animating puppet
